When someone pastes a URL (or the browser extension detects a sign-up page), Fair Term fetches the text of that page, strips away the formatting and navigation, and sends the clean legal text to an AI language model. The AI is given a detailed set of instructions — written by us — that tell it exactly what to look for: hidden costs, broad data-collection rights, liability get-outs, forced arbitration, auto-renewals, and so on. The AI returns a structured report with scores, red flags, and plain-English explanations. Nothing in the process is manual — it runs automatically every time.
