Fair Term ("we", "us", "our") operates a website at fair-term.com and a browser extension ("Fair Term" or the "Extension") available on the Chrome Web Store. These Terms govern your use of the website and Extension (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Fair Term analyses Terms & Conditions and other legal text to produce a plain-English fairness report. The Service is an informational tool only and does not constitute legal advice. You should not rely on it as a substitute for professional legal advice.
To use the Service you may need to create an account. You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
You agree not to: misuse the Service, attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt it, use it to process content you do not have the right to access, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may investigate and take action if we become aware of misuse.
We offer free and paid plans. The free plan allows ten analyses per month. Paid plans provide additional features.
We may offer a free trial of our paid plans. During a trial you have full access to the paid features at no cost. When the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and you will be charged the advertised price unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial and you will not be charged.
Paid plans have a generous usage allowance. We will not charge you extra for normal use. If usage is clearly excessive or abusive, we will contact you before taking any action.
We own the Service and its content. You own the analysis reports you generate. You may download, share, and keep your reports. We retain a licence to use aggregated, anonymised data to improve our analysis models, but never your individual report content without your permission.
We take the Service seriously and aim for high quality. However, the Service is provided "as is" and we cannot guarantee that every analysis is correct. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This limit does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. We do not exclude liability for matters that cannot be excluded by law.
You are responsible for your use of the Service and for ensuring you have the right to analyse any text you submit. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service.
You can close your account at any time from your settings. We will provide at least 30 days written notice before terminating your account, except in cases of serious breach. On termination, you can export and download all your saved reports for 30 days. After that, we will delete your data. We will never delete your data without notice.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will: notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect, display a prominent notice on the website, and update the "Last updated" date. If a change is significant and you do not agree, you can close your account and receive a pro-rata refund of any unused paid period. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We want to resolve any issues fairly. If you have a complaint, contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from bringing a claim in the small claims court, and we do not require you to use arbitration. There is no class action waiver. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time.
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us through the support channels available on fair-term.com.
